Turkey Special Athletes Sports Federation had organized the event as well as the AK Party deputy athletes with Down’s syndrome and their families also attended. Talha Ahmet Erdem, who won the gold medal in the World Judo Championship with Down Syndrome, tapped the AK Party Istanbul Deputy Hasan Turan in one move, and those moments were reflected on the cameras in seconds.

AK Party Istanbul Deputy Hasan Turan stated that athletes with disabilities have proved that they will achieve great success when given the opportunity.
Expressing his pleasure to attend the event, Turan said;
“We regard them as the colors of life, not the disabled. We believe that the biggest obstacle is ignorance, lovelessness and laziness. There is not an obstacle, but success here. Our youth, with the help of their families and the support of our state, waved our crescent-star flag around the world on the 106th anniversary of our Çanakkale Victory. Who is disabled? When given the opportunity, we can see what the children of our nation can do. When these successes are followed by a family in Şırnak, Edirne and Sinop, they open the closed doors in front of their child and direct him to sports.
