The Milan Court of Appeals upheld the previous conviction of Robinho and his friend Ricardo Falco on sexual harassment charges, the Italian ANSA agency reported.
Robinho was sentenced to 9 years in prison in November 2017 for the gang rape of a young woman at a Milan nightclub, while playing in Milan, one of the Italian First Football League (Serie A) teams in 2013.
Robinho, who started his career in his country’s Santos team and paid high testimonials for him for a period, played in Real Madrid, Manchester City, Milan, Guangzhou Evergrande, Atletico Mineiro, Sivasspor and Medipol Başakşehir.
The 36-year-old football player, whose real name was Robson de Souza, finally returned to the Santos team in his country, but was out of the squad due to the allegations about this case in Milan.
