24 tennis players quarantined before the Australian Open

In the statement on the website of the Australian Open, it was noted that two positive cases were detected on the plane with a total of 79 people, 67 of whom were passengers, and 24 athletes were quarantined for 14 days, although their tests were negative.

Belarusian Victoria Azarenka, who won the Australian Open twice on the plane from Los Angeles to Melbourne, as well as US Sloane Stephens and Japanese Kei Nishikori were reported in the press.

Within the framework of the measures taken against the coronavirus at the Australian Open, which will start on February 8, tennis players and their teams must come to Melbourne, where the games will be held 15 days before the tournament, and go into quarantine in the designated places.
