Chelsea, one of the English Premier League teams, brought Thomas Tuchel to the post of coach.
In the statement made by the club, it was noted that a 1.5-year contract was signed with the 47-year-old German coach.
The London representative dismissed Frank Lampard on the grounds that the recent results did not meet the club’s expectations.
Tuchel, who worked for Augsburg II, Mainz 05 and Borussia Dortmund in his career, took over the French team Paris Saint-Germain in 2018.
Under the direction of the German coach, PSG won the Ligue 1 championships twice and the French Cup and League Cup championships once, and reached the finals in the UEFA Champions League last season.
The Paris team parted ways with Tuchel last month.
