Racist referee Sebastian Coltescu not punished in PSG-Başakşehir match

UEFA stated that after its investigation about the allegations of racism in the PSG-Başakşehir match in the Champions League, it decided that there was no racism in the match.

In the PSG-Başakşehir match in the Champions League, the match stopped after the Romanian fourth referee Sebastian Coltescu used racist words, and the match was postponed a day later when Başakşehir and PSG went to the locker room.

The incident, to which both Başakşehir and PSG players reacted strongly, had a wide repercussion all over the world and many football players shared ‘No to Racism’.

INVESTIGATION COMPLETED

Romania’s PRO Sport newspaper newsaccording to UEFACompleted its investigation into the allegations of racism in the PSG-Başakşehir match. UEFA, following its investigation, decided that there was no racism in the match and did not give a penalty to the fourth referee, Sebastian Coltescu.

It was also noted that UEFA did not give a penalty to Okan Buruk, who was the coach of Başakşehir at that time.
