Antalyaspor President Ali Şafak Öztürk resigned
Fraport TAV Antalyaspor, one of the Super League teams, is experiencing a resignation earthquake.
Antalyaspor A.Ş. Chairman of the Board Ali Safak OzturkPresident of Antalyaspor Club Association and Antalyaspor Foundation Fikret Ozturk resigned.
It was stated that the Öztürk family left the administration due to financial and moral wear.
The statement of Antalyaspor President Ali Şafak Öztürk is as follows:
“Dear Antalyaspor community;
Let’s say first what should be said at the end; As Öztürk family, we decided to quit Antalyaspor management.
As we leave, we need to make this statement in order to clearly share the subject of “where did we buy it, where did we come to and under what conditions” with the public. As the Öztürk family, we took over the flag bearing this glorious coat of arms on June 30, 2016, with a loan of 41 million euros over that day’s exchange rate. As of today, Antalyaspor A.Ş. has 7 million 700 thousand euro disputed files and current debt. Until January 1, 2021, all the claims of the current technical team, football players and staff have been paid. In this process, the total sponsorship payments we made from companies belonging to the Öztürk family are 45 million TL. In addition, 85 million TL was spent in cash for Antalyaspor as Öztürk family. Apart from these payments, which are 130 million TL in total, we will continue to pay 61 million euros and 88 million TL, which are the financial expenses of our club, which are seen as bank debts, as Öztürk family. As of today, there is no enforcement, assignment or any restriction on any income of Antalyaspor A.Ş. In addition, our overdue receivables from TFF are 9 million 900 thousand TL, and the expected amount from the withholding return is 8 million 600 thousand TL.
As a result; In today’s financial statement, we leave Antalyaspor, which we took over with a debt of 41 million Euros, almost as a debt-free club.
With this financial structure, Antalyaspor has become one of the most debt-free clubs of the Super League, as the debt burden is financed by us. If we need to briefly review the services we have provided for our club to continue its existence from now on and to create permanent income sources;
Our annual income in excavation work has become regular between 5 million TL and 10 million TL. The gas station, whose current value is approximately 30 to 40 million TL, was also brought to the club during this period.
The field and building of the Hasan Subaşı Facilities were completely renovated, the Atilla Vehbi Guest Facilities continued to be modernized according to the scientific conditions of the day and 2 additional grass fields were built.
But;
During this time, our family has been worn out both financially and spiritually.
In line with the decision we made as a family, we decided to quit Antalyaspor Management. While taking this decision, we say goodbye with a picture we are proud of.
Considering as of today the staff in Turkey Super League, which contain the minimum number of foreign players, in almost every age category of the national players, for example, the number of young players that infrastructure and team play brought into a club shown.
By breaking many records such as the highest points, best ranked league completion, most wins in a season, least defeat, audience record in the 55-year history of the club, we raise and leave the bar for the next administrations.
Considering the score status of the last 5 years, we became the 6th most successful team of the Super League as long as we were on duty.
