While approaching the last 600 meters in the ‘Maiden’ race held at 18:00 at the Yeşiloba Racecourse, 4 jockeys were injured by falling from the horse. One of the jockeys was treated at the hippodrome, and 3 jockeys were hospitalized. In the statement made by TJK, it was stated that all jockeys were in good general health and Doğukan Konuk had a suspicion of a fracture in his leg. On the other hand, the jockey Samet Erkuş, who was seriously injured by falling from the horse named ‘Luminary’ in the race held on Sunday in the same hippodrome, is still in intensive care.
In the 1300-meter ‘Maiden’ fight, which is the 5th run of the day in Yeşiloba Racecourse and started at 18:00, a jockey fell off the horse while entering the last 600 meters. When the other horses in the crowded group collided, 3 more jockeys fell to the ground over their horses. Medical teams rushed to the aid of the jockeys who fell from the horses. Ali Kaçmaz, the jockey of the purebred ‘Anthony’, Uğur Temur, the jockey of the purebred ‘Count Monte Cristo’, and the apprentice Doğukan Konuk, who participated in the race with the purebred named ‘Baronial’, were taken to the private hospital after the first intervention. Ayhan Kurşun, the jockey of the purebred named ‘Speedy Life’, who was in good condition, was taken to the jockey room.
