Palmeiras with Felipe Melo took Libertadores to his museum

Palmeiras, one of the two Brazilian teams that faced in the Libertadores Cup final, which is accepted as the “Champions League” of South America, beat his rival Santos 1-0 in extra time and lifted the cup.
Palmeiras and Santos confronted at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in the final match of the Libertadores Cup, organized by the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL), with the referee of the Argentine Patricio Loustau.

In the 98th minute of the match, Palmeira’s Breno Lopes sent the ball to the net with a header from near the penalty spot. Match result: 1-0.
Former Galatasaray football player Felipe Melo, who played in Palmeiras, also joined the game in the last minutes of the match. Thus Palmeiras has lifted the Libertadores Cup for the second time in its history. The Brazilian team won the trophy for the first time in 1999.
Palmeiras also won direct participation in the postponed 2020 FIFA Clubs World Cup, which Qatar will host, with this victory.
