President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the measures taken for the corona virus

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke about the corona virus (coronavirus) measures. Some parts of President Erdoğan’s speech are as follows;

“My dear nation, dear members of the press, I greet you with my heartfelt feelings and fondness. The first and most important issue of our cabinet meeting was the developments in the coronavirus epidemic as it has been for a long time.

In this context, we shared with the public that we would implement some measures. The fact that the number of cases has reached 30 thousand shows that we need to be very careful and patient. We make every effort to minimize the troubles. At this stage, there is no solution other than these measures aiming to minimize human mobility.

First of all, our citizens should comply with the cleaning, mask and distance rules, which we have stated as okay. We expect the epidemic measures to be strictly applied. We want them not to interfere with the crowd unless they have to, and to act carefully even in their homes, until the epidemic is no longer a threat. The most effective measure against this epidemic is to protect ourselves.

We have to make sacrifices for the health of our loved ones and other people. Colds and influenza have increased the burden on our healthcare system. Our biggest thanks to our healthcare professionals will be not to put additional burden on them.

RESTRICTIONS EXPLAINED
A general curfew will be restricted between 21:00 and 05:00 on weekdays. It will continue uninterruptedly from 21:00 on Friday evening to 05:00 on Monday morning on weekends.

We are in our homes on Saturday Sunday. Sectors to be included in the circular such as production, supply, logistics, health, agriculture, and forestry are excluded from this scope. Establishments such as markets, grocery stores, butchers, greengrocers are excluded from the weekend restriction within the specified hours. Restaurants will not be able to serve except for take away.

They will not be able to use public transportation over the age of 65 and under 20. The General Hygiene Boards will take the necessary measures to eliminate the disruptions that lead to the spread of the epidemic in the transportation services in the provinces. The activities of nursery class and similar educational institutions will be suspended.

I ask our nation to take a break from accepting guests until the threat passes, considering the possibility of the epidemic meeting in homes. Activities such as day, holiday, condolence, and New Year’s Eve cannot be held in the houses. Funeral prayers will be performed with 30 people, including their relatives, and weddings will not exceed this number. Hamam, sauna, gym activities will be suspended. Each shopping center will determine the number of sanitation facilities for the neighborhood market one by one. In addition, HES coding will be used at the entrance to the shopping centers. The number of people entering crowded streets and squares may be limited.

Working hours of public institutions can be applied between 10.00 and 16.00. In workplaces with more than 50 employees, the implementation of epidemic measures will be strictly supervised by the security expert and designated personnel under the leadership of the workplace doctor. Our Ministry of Internal Affairs will take place in the application from Tuesday evening in the circular to be published.

As the government, we are trying to prevent the epidemic on the one hand, and on the other hand, we are waging a historical struggle inside and outside. As the president of this country, I want one more thing from my nation, please definitely stop smoking during this period, no matter what our indoor homes are. Stop smoking hookah during this time. I have no business with cigarettes or hookahs. I just want it for the health of my nation. I want it for my love for my nation. These are all the most important, harmful products that threaten our lungs. “
