Karim Benzema appears before the judge for blackmailing Valbuena

In the statement made by the Versailles Prosecutor’s Office, Karim Benzema and 4 persons were transferred to Versailles Criminal Court in the case.
Benzema’s lawyer, Sylvain Cormier, said in a statement that he was not surprised by this decision, which he described as “ridiculous” and condemned the brutal attitude towards his client.
The ongoing blackmail investigation against the French football player Benzema is being carried out within the scope of the “attempt to usurp the assets of Mathieu Valbuena” from the Greek Olympiakos team. In the case, it is alleged that a secret video of his private life was sent to Valbuena, blackmailed and asked for 150,000 euros.
THE DOOR OF THE NATIONAL TEAM HAS BEEN CLOSED TO BENZEMA
A lawsuit was filed against Karim Benzema and other defendants regarding the said charges on 5 November 2015, France National Team Coach Didier Deschamps therefore closed the national team door to Benzema. Deschamps was also subjected to criticism of racism for not including the Algerian-born Muslim footballer in the squad.
